Public housing provides affordable rental units owned and operated by the Ilion Housing Authority. These homes are available to eligible families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

SECTION 8 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER
Flexible Housing Assistance
The Section 8 program helps low-income individuals and families afford housing in the private rental market.
How It Works
- You choose a rental unit in the private market
- You pay about 30% of your income toward rent and utilities
- The program covers the remaining cost

Eligibility
Eligibility is based on:
- Total household income
- Family size
- Citizenship or eligible immigration status
In general, your income must be below 50% of the area median income.
